All the Ways to Celebrate the New ‘Mean Girls’ Reboot

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Tina Fey’s coming-of-age comedy Mean Girls. To honor that, Paramount is releasing a reboot on January 12, 2024. (Select theaters will show sneak previews as early as January 10th.)

I predict throngs of fans will show up rocking nostalgic looks from the original film. I’m envisioning tons of Millennial/Gen X moviegoers wearing pink (duh!), sexy animal costumes, vintage Juicy Couture sweatsuits, and possibly white tank tops over purple bras with handmade boob cutouts. Think Barbiecore on a more meticulous scale.

If you decide to go for a more conventional option, Paramount Shop has plenty of gear like t-shirts and hoodies.

There are also pin buttons for the less-dramatic crowd.

In addition to the official Paramount Shop collection, the studio teamed up with Walmart last year for a new line that includes doggie attire and vinyl covers.

They recently collabed with American Eagle to launch AE x Mean Girls with more stylish options. The white “Fetch” tank featured here is only $24.95. The entire assortment ranges from $5 to $80 and includes tops, bottoms, bags, jewelry, etc. They even curate items pertaining to your favorite character!

If you’re more of a collector than a Plastic, you can also snag one of the other Mean Girls-branded options like pink coffee creamer, a beauty product from their make-up partnership with Profusion Cosmetics, or press-ons and polish via Static Nails.

For a limited time, you can get a reusable popcorn tin or specialty cup from Cinemark. Even Cinnabon is getting in on the action with pink frosting and a Mean Girls-inspired sweepstakes. However you choose to celebrate (or not, Janis), we promise to let you sit with us.
